With 375 employees, Parkway is a spirited, refreshing and energizing community. Our staff is trained to combine their knowledge and skills with gentleness and warmth as we care for subacute rehabilitation patients as well as our elderly population. You never knew it could be this good. We are family and friends to each other, to our patients and to our residents. Parkway is the road to health, home and healing.

Our experience is what makes us different. 

Parkway Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is locally owned. We are not part of a corporation and have been under the same administration for over 25 years. Mr. Okruhlica has built a reliable, stable staff. The 35 individuals in core leadership positions at Parkway have four hundred sixty years of combined experience. This continuity makes a difference and is why we have a long history of excellent state surveys.

We know what we are doing. The key to our success is based on employee stability. In addition to the core leadership staff, fifty percent of our Care Partners have been a part of Parkway for more than five years. One hundred and fifty nurses’ aides are on staff and the average nurse’s aide has been at Parkway for 3 ½ years. In a world of constant job changes, these averages are extremely unusual. Believe us…this experience makes all the difference when it comes to delivering dynamic care.

Parkway is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and by the State Department for Human Resources, to provide both subacute rehabilitation as well as skilled and basic nursing care. The facility is also certified to participate in Kentucky Medicaid and federal Medicare programs.
